Proximity to Mission Trails Regional Park
Mission Trails Regional Park, established in 1974, encompasses 7,220 acres and is the largest municipally owned park in California.

Mission Trails Regional Park was established in 1974 and spans 7,220 acres of natural and developed recreational space, making it the sixth-largest municipally owned park in the United States and the largest in California. The park is managed by the Mission Trails Regional Park Foundation in partnership with the City of San Diego. Its terrain features hills, valleys, open grasslands and the preserved Old Mission Dam, a historic irrigation structure that remains visible along the park's trails.
The park offers 60 miles of trails for hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding, as well as the Kumeyaay Lake Campground with 46 sites adjacent to a small lake. A 14,000-square-foot Visitor Center provides exhibits, a library, a 93-seat theater and an art gallery. Popular destinations within the park include the Cowles Mountain trail, which draws hundreds of people per day, and visitors can also explore Lake Murray within the park's boundaries. The park attracts approximately 2 million visitors annually, drawing families from throughout the region.
For a family in Santee with children who hike the park's trails on weekends, who use the Visitor Center's educational programs, or who simply know the park will be there for their own children to explore, life insurance is the assurance that those traditions continue. A household's life insurance plan should account for the years of raising and supporting dependents, and the monthly premium should be one that a working family can maintain consistently through those years.
